Special Power of Attorney for Real Estate Purchase Transactions

A special durable power of attorney is available if a principal desires to specifically authorize an agent to purchase a particular tract of real estate on behalf the principal.  It must be filed for record in the county in which the real estate is located.  The authority of the agent under the special durable power of attorney terminates upon the principal’s death.
