Statutory Durable Power of Attorney
A statutory durable power of attorney allows a person (known as the principal) to appoint an agent to handle the principal’s business, financial, tax, and property matters during the person’s lifetime. The principal may elect to have the statutory durable power of attorney become effective immediately or upon the principal’s subsequent disability.
